What went wrong between NTR and Kajal?

Reportedly, Kajal was the first choice of 'Dammu' for the main female lead after Shruti Hassan walked out of the film due to dates issues. But, she was later replaced by Trisha. The 'Dammu' unit says Kajal's attitude has cost her the film, which turned out to be a boon for Trisha.

"Kajal was asked to join the shoot of 'Dammu' as soon as possible to compensate the loss incurred after Shruti's exit. Key scenes were planned by Director Boyapati on the lead pair in a specially erected set. Kajal was asked to spare two days to wrap up the schedule. But the actress informed to the makers that she was busy and went for the opening of a retail showroom," said an unit member.

Although NTR and Kajal shared a great rapport onscreen, there seems to be something wrong between the duo.

According to the sources, "Everything was fine between NTR and Kajal till Samantha came into the picture. Samantha's screen time was increased in 'Brindavanam' to cash on her craze after 'Ye Maya Chesave'. Even Producer Dil Raju has given much importance to Samantha during the promotional campaign sidelining Kajal. Though Kajal requested NTR to interfere in the issue, the young hero has said everything was done for the betterment of the film, which made her even more furious. When 'Dammu' was offered to her, she took it as an opportunity to settle scores with NTR".

Even though Kajal missed out Dammu, she has nothing to worry about. As the actress already has 3 exciting projects with top stars in her kitty - Mahesh's 'Businessman', Ram Charan-Vinayak film, Suriya's 'Maatram'.
